Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Coach Scott is one of the best parts of the tennis program at the club. He teaches the game the right way, pushes the kids to improve, and treats everyone fairly. Most of my interactions with him have been through my daughter, and heβs been fantastic with her β encouraging, patient, and always focused on helping her grow. I recently decided to give the menβs clinic a try, and itβs clear he brings the same energy and professionalism to the adult side. Highly recommend.
